First Runway Show
This past semester I had the opportunity to help assist in a student run fashion show in collaboration with Buffalo Exchange Resale. This fashion show was used in conjunction with a Local Tucson Artist who had curated a collection of Black and White Pieces. We were tasked with coming up with fashion forward grungy/luxury clothing that depicted similar ideas along with the collection.
Step #1: Picking Clothing at Buffalo Exchange
Picking the clothes for the runway show was the best part. We were able to look at the entire stock of Buffalo Exchange and use pieces that were found in the store. These clothes were curated to match the clothing within the art pieces featured. We met with each individual model to look at sizing as well as personal style to see what each model was comfortable in. This was especially fun because we were able to extenuation individuals features that made them look incredible. We were able to pair clothes with accessories that fit the theme of the show to elevate the outfits.
Step #2: Creating Look Books of Models
In preparation for the fashion show we needed a way to keep styles organized as well as keep an organized understanding of what clothes were taken from buffalo in order to return clothing items promptly. Creating these look books allowed us to plan ahead of the fashion show in order to see what hair styles, accessories, and makeup would be appropriate for each model. This was done to reduce time during the actual fashion show. Thanks to my amazing team we were able to send updates to the models with day of preparations as well as arrival instructions.
Step #3: Preparing Earnings for Show
I had the amazing opportunity to feature my earrings in the fashion show. Since this show was based on a black&white theme, my earrings also need to feature these colors. The earrings that I choose to feature in this show were new as well as timeless styles that would be personalized to each individual look. It was an incredible experience to see my earrings come to life and be worn so proudly.
Step #4: Run Way Show
The day of the runway show was full of excitement and anxiousness. I was so excited to see all of our hard work come to life. To show the Tucson community how we have interpreted these photos into a modern day runway show. Before the show began we met with the models and adjusted outfits, completed hair and makeup, as well as had a mini photo shoot featuring my earrings.
Here is a look at the photo shoot featuring all of my styles..
